Wymondham Heritage Museum Group Visits

Overview

Wymondham Heritage Museum are delighted to welcome group visits by parties of all types in the daytime or evening, whether from adult organisations, primary and secondary schools or youth groups.

Visits can engage in a variety of activities: a guided tour of the museum dealing with its history as a model Bridewell, its links with transportation to Botany Bay in Australia and the history of Wymondham, including the story of Robert Kett and Kett’s Rebellion, brushmaking, and school project work relating to the town’s history,

A talk can be provided by mutual arrangement on one of the topics listed above or on a number of other topics from Wymondham’s history. Some groups like to combine visiting the museum with a conducted walk around the town to learn about its fascinating history.

The museum's Bridewell Tearoom provides refreshments including tea, coffee and homemade cakes. The museum shop sells a wide variety of books and pamphlets relating to Wymondham’s history and a range of interesting gift items.

Special terms are available for group visits and school parties by prior arrangement for groups of 10 or more.

Email groupvisits@thewhm.org.uk and they will be pleased to help to arrange your visit.
